I just want to go over what the Patriots have been doing for this free agancy period. Donte Stallworth was signed to a four year contract with a 12 million dollar signing bonus. WHAT?! Yeah, that’s right. A wide receiver who runs poor routes but has some good speed just received a monster contract. However, the fun doesn’t stop there. Stallworth hasn’t been injury free for three years. And he has a substance abuse problem. Nice. I guess 12 million dollars is worth the 38 balls this guy caught last year. Some here would say I am just bitter because I am an Eagles fan. But that isn’t even it. I saw this guy for a whole year and was praying that someone else would sign him. Donte parlayed half ass work ethic and poor choice decisions into a 30 million dollar contract.
Salary cap is astounded by the crazy off season spending. But so far, without a that, the New England Patriots have been the craziest. Other than San Fransisco, Kansas City, Washington, and Miami. But these teams always suck with their free agent choices which makes the Patriots the nfl team that takes the title for stupidity.

Ok, so with the aquisition of Rany Moss, plus signing their draft picks and all the free agent moves….how the hell are they not going over the cap? I’ve tried to understand the salary cap, but then something like this happens and I’m baffled. At the end of this year the Steeler’s will most likely have to release either Alan Faneca or Troy Palomalu, but the Patriots seem like they can sign anyone to anything…..WHY?? I really hate the Patriots…really hate….
First, nice to see someone that hates the cheating patriots as much as I do. I only hate Dallas more, but that is a different story. I looked over the cap numbers and I have absolutely no idea how New England cannot be over the cap. Basically, they are mortgaging the future for this upcoming year. You can only keep putting off paying people’s salaries for so long before you end up like the 49ers. And we can see what kind of salary cap hell they have had to endure. I also would not be surprised if new england does not sign all of their rookies. Remember, when you draft someone, it does not mean you have to sign them and take a hit to the cap. I would expect New England to sign from the top down until they run out of money. However, any injuries to this team and the Patriots go from a team expected to vie for a superbowl to a high priced mediocre team. If I were you, I would pray for horrible injuries to NE players in week one of the season. One last note to help you get through the off-season my Pa brother, Moss is a cancer like Owens. “Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” In other words, if you have acted like a locker room cancer your whole life(30+ years), you will not change because you have Brady/Belichick telling you to change.
