Well, I have been looking at the NBA season with pure hate for the first half of the season. My beloved Philadelphia Seventy Sixers were in the best of terms, pure garbage. The only thing that helped me live through the days was the debacle in New York called Isiah Thomas.
Like all good things, the New York Knicks have come to their senses and hired someone with the authority to end this freak show. Why I love the fact the Knicks suck, it is going to take 4 years to get out of the salary cap hell created by Thomas. The new president is going to have to trade either Curry or Randolph because these are the only two guys someone MIGHT want. Even so, this team is bound for the lottery for the next three years regardless of what they do. Good luck and everyone should blame James Dolan for this.
The Sixers on the other hand have cleared salary cap space for this upcoming summer and in doing so, turned their team into a playoff contender. Who knew? Since being 18-30, the Sixers have gone 20-7. No small feat for a team with “no superstar” to help lead them. Young guys like Lou Williams, Thaddeus Young, Jason Smith have energized the two Andres (Iguodala and Miller) and Sammy Dalembert to drive this team into the playoffs. My question now is this? Do you spend this salary cap space on a power forward this summer like Josh Smith or Elton Brand or do you wisely resign Andre Iguodala and Lou Williams and see how much more they can grow? Unlike the New York Knicks, the Sixers have players teams would want and salary cap space to make moves.
For all the times I wanted to hit you with a bus, thanks Billy King. You might have been smarter than I gave you credit for.
I was looking at my yard today and got to thinking, how in the world can I make this winter go away? With all the global warming, I decided to let some professionals take a stab at bringing it back to life. After talking it over at the water cooler, this company, Connecticut lawn services, seems to be a really good one.
Now, I know what you are saying, you live in the sticks. Well, even Fairfield lawn care has a place to take care of their bad lawns. I will let you know how this company does on my yard. Hopefully, they will make it green so I can enjoy the bar-b-que in a salary cap style.
If you missed my last post, you will understand this post. All I can say to her is this…in the morning—->take meds
“I’m truly sorry. I know the things I wrote in that e-mail were hurtful and spiteful. That was a little bit of my mom coming out in me, and I don’t like the person I am when I do and say hurtful, vindictive things like that. Not that it’s an excuse, but I was very angry with you. You know me — I hardly ever get Angry… upset, pissed off, sure, but anger is an emotion I rarely ever experience.
I don’t know why you have a problem with the situation, and I don’t need to know. What I do know is that I felt very betrayed when I couldn’t talk to you openly about it.
I understand if you would actually like to end our friendship. We’ve had our ups and downs, but I will always look back fondly on the good times. Maybe our friendship has run its course. If that’s the case, know that the door is always open and I am just a phone call away if you ever need to talk.
I don’t need anything in your house, and I would appreciate it if you did not go to my mother’s house… or get my family involved in this in any way. Not that I intend to make a threat, but if you want to go down that road, it could only lead to bad things for both of us.
Again, my sincere apologies for making nasty remarks in that last e-mail. My anger got the better of me, and it was very immature. I hope, even if we do not remain friends, that you can forgive me. “
Before reading this awesome email, I want to show you the im discussion leading up to this. An ex(havent dated in well over a year) asked me my thoughts about her dating a much older lesbian(and guys, not the pretty lesbian from your dreams). I told her I couldnt support her decision because she had just broken up with a guy of 4 months AND THIS SEEMED LIKE A CRAZY IDEA TO ME FOR HER. This is the IM part….
“Me: I told you I cannot support this…I dont think it is right for you
Her: i can’t fucking believe this
why?
Me: what do you want me to say
Her: what makes you think that?
Me: great idea!
I cant do it
Her: fuck you
Me: ttyl
Her: what the fuck
so what if she’s not the right one???
i’m going for coffee… that’s how people get to know each other
you don’t know anything about her
fuck you, you piece of shit hick
i can’t believe you would do this to someone you consider a friend
Me: Then maybe we shouldnt be friends
if that is how you really feel
Her: fine
i don’t need “friends” who try to bring me down
Me: I dont need friends that wont listen to reason
or put expectations on me
Her: it’s not your fucking choice
it’s not your fucking life
Me: fine..live it
have fun
Her: you’re such a fucking moron
Me: thanks…
the fucking hick comment was precious
Her: you are a county hick
whether or not you like it
you’ve turned into one
and you don’t even have a real fucking job
After the last comment, I blocked her…this is her email response to it…classic.
“you are a lousy friend. all i expect is that you’re supportive of my decisions, but you are somehow uncapable of doing that. it’s one thing to Discuss and talk out some of the concerns you have. but you outright tell me that you’re not supportive, like somehow, you know better?
just because you screwed up your life for a lot of years doesn’t mean that i shouldn’t be able to make my own choices and my own mistakes without dealing with your nonsense. a lot of people are so much further along that you are at your age. everyone has to make their own decisions, and their friends should be there to support them. your assuming that somehow you know all the facts when you don’t really pisses me off. again, you act like somehow you know so much better, and you know what’s good for me. well, obviously, you don’t.
i know this is a really nasty e-mail, but i figured maybe the only way to get through to you is to approach the situation like you do — with no tact. just cold, hard reality. well, it’s the truth — you’re a fucking loser, and A LOT of the decisions you’ve made in your life have been poor.”
I will be looking at the NFL since the season is over. Salary cap thinks the perfect place to start is with the Miami Dolphins. Bill Parcells has taken over the operations to see what he can do with a 1-15 team. Lets face it, this is as bad as it gets for a team in the NFL. I mean, Ricky Williams got a shot again on this team. So, how does salary effect this team loking for the future?
Well, frankly, I dont even know where to start with this team. I am a big fan of drafting oline and dline with such a crappy team. If anyone has thoughts on how to make this team a 5 win team next year, I will award you the salary cap trophy of “pure genius”.
This is going to be salary caps preview of at least one team a day before spring traing…Yes, pitchers and catchers are reporting starting this week for some teams. The Atlanta Braves salary cap issues for this upcoming team are minimal. Let’s face it, the Braves are backed by a national channel and a Billionare that can throw money around like it is going out of style. The Braves have Mike Hampton signed to 15 million dollars, John Smoltz to 8 million, Chipper Jones to 12 million and Mark Teixeira to 9 million. Recently signed Tom Glavine is the last big salary cap hit of aaround 7.5 million. With this, the Braves are going to need some help in the forms of injuries are team dysfunction in New York and Philadelphia for this team to win the division. On paper, the Braves will be looking to win around 85 games this year unless they can get one more arm to compete in this two horse race called the NL East. Next up, The New York Yankees.
Ok, I normally dont write about crappy teams, but Salary cap is distressed over this team. Mats Sundin is the only player on this team that is giving an honest effort. For his efforts, the team is thinking about trading him to a winning team. When does loyalty to the player to make sure he has a chance to win a Stanely Cup take over? We saw this with Ray Bourque when the Boston Bruins traded him to the Colorado Avalanche. How does salary play a part in this case? My guess is that the Maple Leafs will not trade him. Mats Sundin will not receive the same courtesy of being traded away to a contender. How do you appease your fans by trading away the only man trying and scoring on your team? What kind of message does that send? Like to hear thoughts if you think this trade will happen or should happen…
Summer is just around the corner and my family & friends will soon be gathering for picnics, soccer games, barbeque’s, etc. I’m not going to let what happen last summer with my lawn repeat this year. Inviting people over for fun in the sun in the backyard was quite embarrassing having my lawn brown and torn up. I’m a senior in college and the last thing on my mind is worrying about how attractive my lawn is, but when I saw the faces on some of my close relatives concerned on my “well-being” I knew I needed to contact a Connecticut landscaper fast.
This year I want to surprise my family & friends and show them that not only can I handle college, but I can also handle my lawn. First, I asked my college friends, which to no surprise were very unhelpful on knowing anything about lawn care services. Then I did some research and came across a Monroe lawn care provider. I have been talking and reading articles on Teed & Brown’s website and they have the solutions to all my lawn care problems. For once, I am looking forward to my family and friends gathering at my home.
